OFFICERS FROM THE WESTERN DIVISION-UVU, INC.


WESTERN DIVISION JUNIOR VICE COMMANDER AND PAST C IN C

Jacque Bundy was the first woman commander of the William T. Sherman Western Division of the Union Veterans Union, Inc. Jacque is a long time supporter of local Civil War history in the Sacramento Area. She is an original member of the Elk Grove Civil War Round Table. Her work includes leading tours of Historic City Cemetery and she has worked tirelessly to maintain the Civil War Trees Memorial at Grand Army of the Republic Plot #3. She has also been a guest speaker on the topic of the Underground Railroad. Jacque is co-chair person for 2007's Civil War Sunday gathering scheduled for November in Sacramento. Her ancestors fought for the 14th Wisconsin Vol. Infantry and the 1st Missouri Light Artillery.

CHIEF OF STAFF

Kathy Von Bima, an original member of the Elk Grove Civil War Round Table, is the current Senior Vice Commander. Kathy is a long time member of the Civil War Reenacting community and has worked with local Civil War groups on Cemetery Programs such as Civil War Sunday and Rememberance Day.

  PAST NATIONAL COMMANDER

Steve Von Bima, Past National Commander of the Union Veterans Union, is a founding member of the revived UVU, and is a Past Commander in Chief of the W.T. Sherman Western Division. Mr. Von Bima has had a life long interest in the Civil War. He is former reenactor in the Sacramento region and is co-founder of both the Elk Grove Civil War Round Table and General George Wright Camp 22 Sons of Union Veterans.

     Mr. Von Bima has worked on various projects throughout the years relating to local Civil War History. These include the Civil War Tree Memorial, Capitol Park Civil War Tree Restoration Project, G.A.R. Monument Project and Civil War Sunday and Civil War Remembrance Day Programs at Old City Cemetery. He is a much sought after speaker for Round Table meetings with an expertese in the Civil War in the West and Civil War Coins.

    Mr. Von Bima's ancestor, Albert Schohay, fought with the 198th Penna. Volunteer Infantry.

 

NATIONAL HISTORIAN

Robert Bundy is the current Commander in Chief of the W.T. Sherman Western Division and National Historian of the Union Veterans Union. Mr. Bundy was the co-founder of the Elk Grove Civil War Round Table and the Gen. Goerge Wright Camp 22 Sons of Union Veterans. He has served as chairman for the Civil War Sunday, Memorial Day and Rememberance Day programs at Old City Cemetery. He also currently serves as a founding member of the Civil War Trees Memorial Committee.
